A cut in UFC 6 starts as a warning and can end as a fight-stopper. The doctor stoppage icon is one of the few HUD elements that can directly end a fight without a KO or submission, and once it turns red, the clock is ticking.

- The doctor stoppage icon indicates facial injuries other than to the mouth. Cuts, swelling, and structural damage all contribute.
- The icon changes from its base state to red as the injury worsens, serving as a clear escalation signal.
- When the injury becomes severe enough, the doctor can step in between rounds and stop the fight, awarding the win to the other fighter.
- Targeting a cut or existing injury aggressively speeds up the escalation. A fighter with a bad cut becomes more vulnerable with every clean shot to that area.
- Defending a cut means protecting the damaged zone more actively, even at the cost of some offensive output.

The cut injury icon going red is one of the most exciting moments in UFC 6, it means the finish is within reach without needing a knockout. Keep landing clean strikes to that area, control the round, and the doctor might do the work for you. If it&#39;s your cut turning red, fighting smart and defensively is the only way to survive into the next round.

Damage icons in UFC 6 are the game&#39;s way of flagging that something specific has gone wrong for a fighter. They&#39;re not just cosmetic, each icon carries a real gameplay effect, and knowing what each one means lets you exploit them offensively or manage them defensively.

- Damage icons appear in the health and stamina area of the HUD and represent specific injuries like cuts, swelling, and health events.
- Each icon signals a different type of damage and associated penalty. Not all icons have the same effect on gameplay.
- Targeting an area with an active damage icon builds on an existing injury, which can accelerate a doctor stoppage or finish.
- As the defender, seeing an icon on your fighter tells you which zone needs protecting most urgently.

## Key Tips

Damage icons turn the HUD into a tactical map. A quick scan tells you everything about which body parts are compromised and where the most vulnerable targets are. Making a habit of checking them mid-fight is one of the simplest ways to fight smarter in UFC 6.

Delayed frame nodes are UFC 6&#39;s way of telling you that something went wrong with a strike, and why. Those orange markers aren&#39;t just visual noise; they&#39;re showing you exactly how many frames your attack lost due to a block or a mistimed combo, so you can adjust.

- Orange nodes display the number of frames your attack was delayed as a result of being blocked or mistiming a combo.
- More orange frames means more recovery time before your next action. Your opponent has a larger window to counter.
- Getting blocked consistently adds up; a combination that&#39;s partially absorbed through guard puts you in a disadvantageous position faster than you might expect.
- Mistimed combos (throwing the second or third hit too early or too late) also generate delayed frames. Rhythm matters as much as input.

Delayed frames are a feedback tool, they tell you when your offense is being absorbed and costing you more recovery time than expected. Fewer orange frames means cleaner, more efficient striking. Paying attention to them will naturally improve your combo timing and help you avoid throwing into blocks unnecessarily.
